A little backstory…

A little backstory…

A little backstory…

I didn’t grow up knowing exactly who I wanted to be .So when the usual question of "what would you like to be when you grow up" came up. I answered the usual "doctor, lawyer, engineer!" But deep down I knew that wasn't what I wanted to do.

So when it was time to go to College, I decided to get a diploma in Biochemistry. And while I might not have felt a deep passion I still strongly believe what is worth doing is worth doing well. I graduated as the only student with distinction in my department.

In usual Bibi fashion, I stumbled upon design after I graduated from school and I felt lost on what next I needed to do. My friend told me of a program that was happening at Africa Agility to empower African girls into the tech space. I decided to jump on the opportunity and check it out, I saw courses like Scrum Mastery, Product Management, Frontend Development, Artificial Intelligence but I decided to pick Product design because I liked the way it sounds and I felt a connection (although I did my research on what UI/UX was before making a decision, I am not that spontaneous).

And that was how my design journey started. And since then I have worked with many businesses and startups such as KonnectHQ, DrDreay, Whorkaz, Viral and many more to turn their ideas into usable products.

Its not always about me, but this part is.

The way I design today didn’t happen by accident. This is a little context on my journey, mindset, and the principles that guide how I think about products.
